I have been turning since winter 2004.
“Handcrafted by Rodney”
My
work has been sold locally at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulpfer Springs WV; The New Horizon Gallery, downtown Lewisburg;
Many local venues such as the West Virginia State Fair and BPW Craft Fairs, many other local craft
fairs. I perform public demonstrations and really enjoy helping others to understand the art and craft of woodturning.
I founded the West Virginia Woodturners Association January 2007 and have enjoyed the experience tremendously.
Please enjoy your time in my gallery.

Inspiration comes from many
sources. Sometimes it comes from the obvious and others it comes from something deep inside the artist. This baby bottle for
instance, comes from a long time of trying to get pregnant; our daughter is now 8 months old.

Nature has a way of putting things where you least expect them. When we find a hidden treasure, its our job
to reveal it for all to see. Don't feel the piece is poor because it has a natural embellishment. It actually raises the value
if you present it correctly.

Most of the wood I used
to create these bowl came from local trees and have a history attached to them. I provide a card with my pieces that
tells the type of wood, where the tree was grown and when it was finished, and a signature adds to the long term value
of the piece.
