Thanks for viewing my work. My name is James Cox
and I have been turning wood for about three years. I was encouraged to start by a fellow woodturner and club member
Harry Newman. I live in Beckley, WV with my wonderful wife, Renee, and our two daughters, Elizabeth and Lauren. To
date I have mostly turned as a hobby and enjoyed giving my handcrafted items to friends and family. In 2008 I was
juried into the Tamarack Cultural Center located in Beckley. I started turning as a way to relax but soon
found it was a way to express my artistic side.
