The Dandelion Festival was
a fun experience. WVWA members, Rodney LehrBass, Cliff Baker and Harry Newman turned many beautiful items.
Harry Newman brought a box
of 2x2x6 turning blanks and turned tops and snowmen for our guests.
Cliff performed demonstrations
on green Natural Edge Bowl turning and produced a few very nice pieces. Harry demonstrated rough turning green
cedar bowls. Rodney demonstrated final turning rough cherry bowls, his own custom designed Turkey Call Strikers, a 6" cherry
plate, and much more. Just to note,Rodney also took first place in the Turkey
Call contest. (Not bad for a city boy from California.)
We turned both Friday the
25th and Saturday the 26th, from morning till nightfall. It was a blast.
