October Club Challege ** Top Turning Guidlines**

The September demonstration centered
around the rough turned bowl blanks and round turning disk purchased by the club last month. Several of the items
were brought to the meeting and offered to the membership for sale at discounted prices.
The round disks
were ran through a planer to reveal the beautiful figure that each one contained. These peices are very unique and will
make wonderful platters, plates and other items.
The photo above
shows many of the discs after they had been planed.
Everyone had an
opportunity to look through the blanks and purchase the ones they wanted.
Harry Newman also
demonstrated different methods to mount and turn the round wood disc during the September demonstration.
Several items
were also displayed and discussed during Show and Tell. The peices ranged from platters, bowl and also so wonderful
segmented peices brought by Jim.
