Charlie Myers will show us how to turn captive rings on various forms. Club members wil be challenged to design and turn an object incorporating one or more captive rings and display it at the May 20 meeting.

February 25 Meeting

Twenty four Club members and one guest attended the meeting on February 25 and one new member joined that day. The members enjoyed coffee, donuts, and fellowship before the meeting and several won the drawings for the doorprize and raffle. A dozen members displayed some of their recent creations and are shown below. Rather than scheduling a formal demonstration, Club members had expressed an interest in having a series of workshops. Two members turned small bowls with Cliff Baker and nine members brought turning tools to sharpen under the guidance of Charlie Myers. Bob Nickell had two lathes set up for turning pens and Bill Sproul helped xx members improve their spindle turning skills.
